A Star Trek fan audio drama in ten episodes
Snowdon
The Shackleton Expanse
2381. A warship built for war is sent to chart the unknown, on the edge of the region where her sister ship vanished without a trace.

Base Camp
On her first day at the edge of the Shackleton Expanse, the USS Snowdon answers a distress call from a mining colony being torn apart by subspace shear. The cause is closer to home than anyone expects.
Season one
The bridge crew

A former Starfleet Intelligence officer who has finally been given a ship of her own, and a mission she suspects isn't what it seems. Patient, dry and dangerous when cornered.

A career explorer from the survey fleet who believes in Starfleet's ideals out loud, and isn't afraid to tell his captain when she's forgotten them.

A former resistance fighter who runs security like a cell: need-to-know, three contingencies deep, and fiercely protective of the youngest crew.

Seven lifetimes of memories and a bedside manner to match. The ship's doctor, unofficial counsellor and most reliable source of gossip.

The best small-craft pilot in the sector, and he'll tell you so. Argues with everyone, runs the ship's betting pool, and never misses a landing.

A flight-school prodigy from the Mars colonies on her first deep-space posting. Nervous, brilliant, and determined to out-fly Grell.

A precise and quietly brilliant specialist in subspace physics, and the calmest voice on the bridge, however strange the Expanse gets.
A warship sent to explore
The USS Snowdon is an Akira-class heavy cruiser named for Yr Wyddfa, the highest peak in Wales. She has been refitted with science labs and a long-range survey array, and she has kept every one of her torpedo launchers. Nobody at Starfleet Command will say why.
Ymlaen at y copa. Onward to the summit.

We’re casting
Snowdon is made by volunteers, recording from home. If you have a decent microphone and a quiet room, we'd love to hear you read for the crew.
