Lt. Commander Savak

Science officer

It is a precise way of saying that no one knows. I considered that more useful.

A specialist in subspace physics, Savak has spent forty years studying the parts of space that don't behave. The Shackleton Expanse, where long-range sensors fail and the charts are mostly question marks, is the most interesting assignment of his career.

Calm, measured and exact, Savak is the steadiest voice on the bridge. He never raises his voice and never wastes a word, and his captain has come to rely on him more than almost anyone aboard.
