First officer
A place is only as permanent as the people who remember it.
Twelve years in the survey fleet, cataloguing moons and naming nebulae, made Daniel Achebe one of Starfleet's most experienced explorers. He was expected to command the Ben Nevis. Instead, he's first officer to a captain who keeps secrets for a living.
Achebe believes the Federation's ideals are worth saying out loud, and worth living up to even when it's inconvenient. He's warm, wry and methodical, and the one person aboard who will always tell the captain exactly what he thinks.
